Skin Tightening

For many years, the only treatment option for lifting and tightening the facial skin was a surgical facelift. Today, non-surgical lifting is possible with Ultherapy in Seattle.

Ultherapy is the only FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment that lifts and rejuvenates the skin without surgery. It is also the only cosmetic procedure that uses ultrasound energy, which allows the provider to see the targeted layers of tissue and ensure that energy is delivered in the most beneficial locations.

What Is Ultherapy? And How Does It Tighten And Lift The Skin?

Ultherapy deposits focused ultrasound energy deep beneath the skin at the optimal temperature to stimulate the regeneration of natural collagen. The treatment jump-starts a natural process (neocollagenesis) to produce fresh new collagen to counteract the effects of time and gravity on your skin. A handpiece is used to deliver the ultrasound energy to various face and neck areas by our master esthetician.

How Is Ultherapy Different Than Laser Treatments?

While lasers rely on light energy, Ultherapy uses sound energy (ultrasound). As light energy cannot reach the deeper layers of skin with optimal temperatures, lasers are typically only used to treat superficial skin. The unique properties of ultrasound energy allow Ultherapy to bypass the skin surface and treat depths that cannot be reached with any other non-invasive cosmetic device.

Anti-Aging Regenerative Treatment To Rejuvenate Face And Neck

Ultrasound energy in Ultherapy treatments stimulates collagen production in the foundational layers of the skin, resulting in a significant lift of tissues over a two to three-month period. Laser and ultrasound technologies are compatible, as these treatments are appropriate for a range of different skin problems and issues.

Can Ultherapy Replace A Facelift?

Although Ultherapy does not duplicate the results of a facelift, it does treat the deep foundational layers of the skin that are also addressed in cosmetic surgery. It provides an excellent alternative for patients who are not ready to undergo surgery, or for those who have had a facelift and want to extend the results.

How Safe Is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a non-surgical procedure that has been FDA-approved for treating the face, neck, and chest. Ultrasound energy has been safely used in medicine for more than half a century and every Ultherapy practitioner receives extensive training. Ultherapy has been safely performed in more than 500,000 treatments nationwide.

What To Expect With Ultherapy Treatment

While some patients may benefit from additional treatment, most patients need only one Ultherapy session. However, touch-up treatments in the future can help patients keep up with the natural aging process.

During the procedure, you can expect to feel tiny amounts of energy at precise depths while ultrasound energy is being delivered. Comfort levels with this treatment vary from patient to patient. The length of the procedure will depend on your individual treatment plan. For example, chest treatment takes approximately 30 minutes while face and neck treatment takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes. There is no downtime with Ultherapy.

You may resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. Your skin may appear flushed after treatment, but the redness should disappear within a few hours. Some patients experience mild, temporary symptoms such as slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness. Results will appear gradually while the body naturally regenerates collagen. Ultimate results will occur in the two to three months following treatment.
