Safety Is Our Number One Priority

“Safety is our number one priority” is our motto in all that we do here at The Egrari Plastic Surgery Center. Beyond results and any other element of a surgical experience, safety is at our core. We know that when you make a commitment to have a procedure done with us, you are trusting us with your life. You are giving us the privilege of taking care of your life, and — when we have completed your procedure — giving your life back to you, your family, and loved ones. This is a dramatic bond, and we go through unimaginable lengths to provide you with the safest techniques, the most up-to-date monitoring, and the most advanced pre- and post-operative care. The culture of safety is in our bloodline, and we go to great measures to never let you down.

What Makes The Egrari Plastic Surgery Center Safe?

Dr. Egrari is a plastic surgeon certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of Surgery. He routinely undergoes re-certification, and these are more than diplomas on the wall. They are the culmination of decades of intense surgical experience with exposure to critical and life-threatening conditions and the ability to solve such issues. He is also constantly involved with a required program of Continual Medical Education. This includes yearly updates to his board status, attending both reconstructive and aesthetic meetings, and taking core courses that include safety elements. These are a part of the important Maintenance of Certification program that has become a part of board certification. Certification is a lifelong commitment, and at The Egrari Plastic Surgery Center, we view it very seriously.

Our surgical unit at The Egrari Plastic Surgery Center is a world-class, state-of-the-art facility that embodies safety. From the best equipment available to the most technologically advanced physical plant, this surgical center is on par with major medical centers. The Egrari Surgical Unit represents the best that can be offered today in surgical care.

Our surgical unit is accredited by The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF) as well as The Washington State Department of Health. These are rigorous credentials that are continually updated with the most organized and coherent requirements.

Our facilities are constantly inspected and all our protocols for safety are continually updated. We have an in-house pharmacy consultant who is constantly reviewing all of our medication regimens to assure up-to-date practices. For more than two decades, our exceptional anesthesia group has been responsible for all our surgical cases.

A rotating group of board-certified anesthesiologists, all with a truly impeccable record, has been at the core of the safety of our facility. Our surgical unit staff is the best in the business. They combine decades of experience and are constantly involved with safety and logistical continued medical education. As registered nurses and registered technicians, they are all constantly delivering the best care possible.Dr. Egrari is on active staff at Overlake Hospital Medical Center. This assures a base hospital close at hand in the rare case of a serious emergency. The protocols of our accreditation require that we have an ever-present backup at a major facility for such rare events.

Updated May 2022
We have been fully operational since May of 2020. This includes skincare and our non-invasive center (ENIC).
We know that so much of this pandemic caused an inconvenience for you, but we are delighted to see a return to normalcy.
We will continue to be vigilant in our approach to Covid 19. For over two decades, we have considered safety as our most important prerogative — and there has never been a more important time to put that to use.
Here are some things we’re doing to ensure you are protected and that we maintain this facility as a Non-Covid Care (NCC) zone:

Patient Flow and Clinical Office Space

We now have a well-tested protocol of texting patients for control of flow for consultations.
We are assigning everyone to hourly wipe-downs of high-use areas with approved sanitizing wipes.
We are asking that no one wait in the waiting area.
We are coming up with protocols for room wipe-downs after each patient visit.
Every staff member will always wear a mask while in the office.
Every staff member will sanitize or wash hands after every interaction.
Implementation of virtual pre-ops, nursing visits, and questions.

Operating Room Experience

Similar precautions and questionnaires will be provided to establish Covid-19 Clear Status.
All staff will always wear a mask. All staff will always wear gloves.
Hand washing will be done for any patient interaction.
Specific wipe-down of our operating room, recovery, and pre-op areas will be performed.
We will minimize accompanying caretakers to only one. Those caretakers will be treated just like the patients.
Anesthesia Experience
Every anesthesia staff will wear goggles and other protective equipment during intubation.
Our anesthesiologists have been fully trained and are implementing all precautions for prevention of Covid-19 spread.
All circuits will be changed between each patient.
Full wipe-down of surfaces and floors will be performed.
We will implement a time-out protocol to confirm the Covid-19 Clear Status of every patient.

As you can see, we are taking this very seriously. We fully understand that this will cause some inconvenience in the short term, but realize that it is for the best.
Although Covid-19 has been a serious issue, we are seeing a resumption of normalcy. We continue to monitor this situation on a real-time basis, and we will not sit back until we know that we have done everything possible to avoid unnecessary exposure.
When you see us in action, you’ll realize that you have put your trust in the right practice.
