How Does FormaV Provide Vaginal Rejuvenation?

Vaginal rejuvenation includes various procedures that can improve the elasticity and sensitivity of the vaginal area. It’s designed to address dryness, low blood flow, painful intercourse, and other uncomfortable or non-optimal symptoms.

FormaV is a non-invasive vaginal rejuvenation treatment that helps tighten the vaginal area and canal tissues. It’s designed to help treat vaginal laxity (looseness of the vagina), which often develops as a result of age, genetics, or childbirth. FormaV vaginal rejuvenation helps tighten the vaginal canal and promote collagen restructuring, causing new, elastic tissue to grow.

To help improve vaginal aesthetics and tightness, FormaV uses radiofrequency energy and localized heat applied with a small wand that is inserted gently into the vagina. Radiofrequency energy addresses the underlying layers of tissue in the vaginal area, which stimulates the body to produce collagen and new elastin fibers. The collagen produced after application from the FormaV wand then stimulates new, elastic tissue. This tissue is what helps to firm the previously lax tissues of the vaginal canal.

What Conditions Can FormaV Treat?

FormaV is designed to help treat the following vaginal conditions for women:

  • Discomfort
  • Laxity
  • Dryness
  • Painful intercourse
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Decreased lubrication
  • Lack of sexual pleasure.

What Is The FormaV Procedure?

FormaV vaginal rejuvenation is performed in our Egrari Noninvasive Center. After careful consultation, the length of the vaginal canal will be measured.

This helps ensure that the FormaV wand is inserted enough to fully achieve maximum healing, but not any further than necessary during treatment. Before the procedure, a small amount of gel will be applied to the wand for easier entry into the vagina and to provide more comfort for the patient.

Once the FormaV wand has been inserted into the vaginal canal, our provider will slowly rotate it, ensuring an even distribution of radiofrequency energy to the vaginal walls. The radiofrequency energy targets the deeper layers of tissue in the vaginal walls and promotes the production of collagen and vaginal contraction. Our Egrari provider will treat the entire length of the vaginal canal evenly, ensuring the best results possible for rejuvenation. Generally, it takes between 20-30 minutes to perform.

What Should I Expect After My FormaV Vaginal Rejuvenation?

Following FormaV in Seattle, most patients are able to return home immediately. There is typically very little downtime, although initial slight sensitivity or discomfort is normal. These symptoms will quickly subside. Most patients can resume normal activity almost immediately, although sexual intercourse should be avoided for two days to ensure proper healing.
