What Is The IDEAL Implant?

The IDEAL Implant® is the culmination of a years-long, intensive project to develop the best possible breast implant. Specifically, the IDEAL Implant combines the natural look and feel of a silicone gel implant with the superior safety properties of a saline implant. In that regard, the IDEAL Implant is the best of both worlds, and is now available in a single set of implants. The IDEAL Implant uses an innovative architecture that creates a natural feel. This is different than a hollow conventional saline implant that Dr. Egrari often will not recommend. Silicone gel implants have long been popular for the perfect aesthetic they make possible.

However, their downside is that in the rare event that one or both of them were to tear or rupture, it would not be known until an MRI scan was done. Meanwhile, silicone would likely be leaking from the implant, which is something a patient might not want. With the majority of all breast augmentations currently using silicone implants, that unwanted condition could be pervasive. Fifteen percent of breast augmentations used the safer — but often less visually appealing, saline implants — Now, with the IDEAL Implant, safety and stunning looks are simultaneously possible.

Who Is A Candidate For Breast Reduction Surgery?

The Best Of Both Worlds In Breast Augmentation

Combining the aesthetic value of a silicone breast implant with the superior safety properties of a saline breast implant, the IDEAL Implant was created by cosmetic surgeons.

The IDEAL Implant is a saline implant that, due to its interior design, provides the natural appearance and tissue-like feel of a silicone gel implant without the wrinkling or the unnatural bounce and roundness typical of saline implants.

This is accomplished with a series of inner shells and baffles that regulate the flow and movement of the enclosed saline, provide a stronger edge to the implant, reduce unnatural bouncing, and minimize or eliminate rippling. Additionally, these additional interior shell layers surrounding the saline filler help produce the natural look and feel of actual breast tissue, which isn’t achievable with either saline or silicone alone.

Am I A Good Candidate For Ideal Implants?

The physical requirements for the IDEAL Implant are the same as those of a breast augmentation, which include:

Being in good general physical and emotional health
Being of sound mind and having realistic expectations for the procedure
Not smoking, or being able to stop smoking entirely before and after the surgery

What Is Recovery Like?

Following your breast augmentation surgery, you will be wearing a compression garment to reduce post-operative swelling and to help ensure the procedure turns out looking incredible as planned. Surprisingly, pain medication will almost entirely ease discomfort throughout recovery. Dr. Egrari will also provide you with detailed recovery guidelines covering what should and shouldn’t be done for the best possible outcome.

The Ideal Implant’s Statistical Superiority

In clinical trials, rupture rates were several times higher for two brands of silicone gel implant than they were for the the IDEAL Implant (16.4, 10, and 6.3 percent respectively). The IDEAL Implant showed the least risk of capsular contracture. Deflation and the risk of rupture were likewise several times lower for the IDEAL Implant (7.4, 5.4, and 1.8 percent respectively).

In the unlikely event the IDEAL Implant were to rupture, the saline within it is harmlessly absorbed by the body and the patient would be aware of the rupture because it would be visible from outside as well. The implants would deflate, unlike silicone implants where a leak would be undetectable without an MRI evaluation.

PRACTICE POLICY UPDATE FOR CORONAVIRUS (Covid-19):

We have been fully operational since May of 2020. This includes skincare and our non-invasive center (ENIC).
We know that so much of this pandemic caused an inconvenience for you, but we are delighted to see a return to normalcy.
We will continue to be vigilant in our approach to Covid 19. For over two decades, we have considered safety as our most important prerogative — and there has never been a more important time to put that to use.
Here are some things we’re doing to ensure you are protected and that we maintain this facility as a Non-Covid Care (NCC) zone:

Patient Flow and Clinical Office Space

We now have a well-tested protocol of texting patients for control of flow for consultations.
We are assigning everyone to hourly wipe-downs of high-use areas with approved sanitizing wipes.
We are asking that no one wait in the waiting area.
We are coming up with protocols for room wipe-downs after each patient visit.
Every staff member will always wear a mask while in the office.
Every staff member will sanitize or wash hands after every interaction.
Implementation of virtual pre-ops, nursing visits, and questions.

Operating Room Experience

Similar precautions and questionnaires will be provided to establish Covid-19 Clear Status.
All staff will always wear a mask. All staff will always wear gloves.
Hand washing will be done for any patient interaction.
Specific wipe-down of our operating room, recovery, and pre-op areas will be performed.
We will minimize accompanying caretakers to only one. Those caretakers will be treated just like the patients.
Anesthesia Experience
Every anesthesia staff will wear goggles and other protective equipment during intubation.
Our anesthesiologists have been fully trained and are implementing all precautions for prevention of Covid-19 spread.
All circuits will be changed between each patient.
Full wipe-down of surfaces and floors will be performed.
We will implement a time-out protocol to confirm the Covid-19 Clear Status of every patient.

As you can see, we are taking this very seriously. We fully understand that this will cause some inconvenience in the short term, but realize that it is for the best.
Although Covid-19 has been a serious issue, we are seeing a resumption of normalcy. We continue to monitor this situation on a real-time basis, and we will not sit back until we know that we have done everything possible to avoid unnecessary exposure.
