Botulinum Type A injections (Botox® and Dysport®) are the most popular minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures performed in the United States. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), reports 7,056,255 procedures were performed in a recent year, representing a 797% increase since the year 2000. Dr. Egrari and his staff perform Botox injections and provide some of the best results in Botox Seattle has to offer.

Botox for a More Youthful Look

Botox is popular for very good reasons. No one wants to look older, and Botox has been clinically proven as a safe, convenient, and effective method of smoothing wrinkles. At Egrari Non-Invasive Center, our Seattle medical spa, we serve the Seattle area with Botox injections performed with artistry and the highest level of technical skill – so you look more youthful and refreshed, rather than “frozen.”

What is Botox?

  • A dramatically effective treatment to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyes and “crow’s feet.”
  • Our Seattle Botox treatments are also capable of treating facial and eye asymmetry. It can also be effective to elevate brows.
  • Approved by the FDA, Botulinum toxin, or Botox works by hindering the motion of the muscles creating facial expressions. Once the carefully-targeted muscles are treated, the pull of relaxed and overlying skin flattens and smooths.
  • Botox is different from fillers. Facial fillers add volume to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and creases.

How long does Botox last?

  • The motion-inhibition effect on the injected muscles brought about by our Bellevue Botox treatment is temporary, and re-injection is typically needed every three months to maintain the smooth facial appearance.
  • Options for alternative treatment include injection of either facial fillers or fat, or surgical excision of the muscles, such as a brow-lift.

How is it Used?

  • Botox is freshly prepared on the day of injection. Once prepared, the medication needs to be used within twelve hours to maintain potency.
  • Our Botox in Seattle is available every day in our state-of-the-art, luxury clinic.
  • Very small amounts of Botox are injected into carefully-targeted muscles with a very tiny needle. Depending on the areas being treated, three to five needle pricks (or more) per area may be required.
  • Discomfort is minimal and lasts only a few seconds.
  • Dr. Egrari and his providers use a very detailed artistic and scientific method and will recommend “brushes” of Botox in various facial areas.
  • Fact: Botox has been used safely in the treatment of muscular facial spasms for over fifteen years.

Side Effects of Botox: Safe and Effective

  • The most common side effect is pinpoint bruising at the injection site which is easily hidden with makeup.
  • If any Botox trickles into other facial muscles, it can cause a rare side effect, a slight weakening of those muscles. (We urge our clients to avoid any massaging of the injected areas for 12 hours following the injections and insist that you avoid any strenuous activities 24 hours after the injections.)
  • Botox is one of the most popular injectables, and for good reason. It has been in use for decades and used by millions across the globe on a regular basis. However, it is important to understand that the product must be injected into the correct muscle strands, and in the right quantity. It is vital that the injections are performed by a professional with advanced skills and a great depth of knowledge of facial muscle structure, such as Dr. Egrari.
  • To avoid problems, never submit your face to a cut-rate offer for Botox – it is not worth the risk. Counterfeit Botox has been discovered to be in circulation in America, typically offered at a low cost, and not under the guidance of a skilled Seattle board certified plastic surgeon – as is every procedure at Dr. Egrari’s clinic in Seattle.
  • We are committed to producing exceptional results and to ensuring the highest level of patient safety in all procedures, including Botox injections. Rather than creating a “frozen” look, we inject the correct quantity of Botox to smooth and refresh facial appearance. We have rarely seen any of the more serious side effects of Botox, and always use the greatest of care when injecting the product.

Botox Injections to Treat Frown Lines and Crow’s Feet

Botox Cosmetic is the only treatment approved for temporarily improving the appearance of both crow’s feet and moderate to severe frown lines between brows. After receiving our Botox in Bellevue treatment, you can expect to see noticeable improvement in frown lines within 1 to 2 days. To treat frown lines, Dr. Egrari and his providers will administer 5 injections in the muscles of your forehead. For crow’s feet, they will place 3 injections in the muscles that frame the sides of the eye.

Why Botox is so popular: It works.

The reason Botox is so effective is that it targets the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet – repeated muscle contractions with frowning and squinting. Injections of Botox in these muscles temporarily reduces motion and activity. Within a few days after treatment, you will notice visible smoothing of crow’s feet and frown lines between the brows.

Benefits of Botox

It is easy to see why Botox is the number one minimally-invasive cosmetic treatment in the nation. This “lunch hour” procedure offers many benefits for patients:

  • It is performed without anesthesia: Small needles are used in the treatment, so you only feel a tiny prick with each injection.
  • Results are visible in only a few days: You can expect to see results within 5 to 7 days after treatment.
  • The procedure is quick: Depending on the number of treatment areas, injections may only take approximately 15 minutes.
  • There is no downtime: You can literally fit treatment into your lunch hour and return to work immediately after the procedure.
  • It smoothes frown lines and dynamic wrinkles for younger-looking skin.
  • It can be injected in the eye area: Botox is an effective treatment for smoothing fine lines and wrinkles in the creasing of the eyes.
  • Results are not irreversible: No worries about a major commitment as the relaxing and smoothing effects of Botox last 3 to 4 months on average.
  • Treatment can be tailored to individual needs: Dr. Egrari and his providers can custom-tailor your treatment based on your individual needs and treatment goals to give you the best experience in Botox Seattle has to offer.

Botox vs. Dysport

  • Many patients ask us about the differences between Botox and DYSPORT. These two products produce similar results but are slightly different formulas. Both work to smooth wrinkles, lines, and creases that have appeared due to constant facial motions. Both products relax the muscles in the areas where the lines and wrinkles appear, including crow’s feet, forehead creases, and fine lines on the upper face. Both produce temporary results and require retreatment every three to six months to maintain a smoother, younger look.
  • The difference between Botox and Dysport is in the formula. Dysport is a different dilution than Botox but is equally effective. While Dysport tends to be less expensive, it will require more of the product to achieve a smoothing effect. Dysport has smaller molecules, allowing the product to enter the tissues more quickly for faster results. It diffuses more thoroughly, which is an advantage in treating some larger facial areas but will not benefit other areas.
  • Patients seeking an anti-aging treatment from Dr. Egrari may achieve the improvements they envision with the use of both products, depending upon the areas needing treatment. Every patient can expect a customized anti-aging treatment at our luxury Seattle plastic surgery clinic.

Practice policy update for Coronavirus (Covid-19):

Updated May 5, 2020

As previously stated, we are pleased to announce the opening of our practice May 19,2020. Our clinic, operating facility, skin care and noninvasive center (ENIC) will resume their full activity.

We know that so much of this has caused inconvenience for you. We want nothing more than to see our patients and resume what we do best. But we also know that we had to be patient and make sure that the timing is right.

We know clearly well that our work ahead is an important one. For over two decades we have considered safety as our most important prerogative. And, there has never been a more important time to put that to use.

As we stage the comeback of our States businesses and our own practice, we clearly understand that we must do everything in our power to ensure the safety of our patient, and our staff.

We also ask for your patience in the rescheduling process. Without any exception our patients have been kind, gracious and understanding. We sincerely appreciate your indulgence in this very difficult time.

Here is some of what we are doing to ensure that you are protected and that we maintain this facility as a Non-Covid Care (NCC) Zone:

Patient Flow and Clinical office Space

  • We are coming up with spacing and logistic protocols. This might include texting patients who are waiting in their car.
  • We are assigning everyone to hourly wipe downs of high use areas with approved sanitizing wipes.
  • We are asking for no one to wait in the waiting area.
  • We are coming up with protocols for room wipe downs after each patient visit.
  • We are creating a questionnaire and temperature control that will make the patient Covid-19 Clear.
  • We will ask staff to change out of their clothing into scrubs. Jackets for front office are being ordered.
  • Every staff will always wear masks while in the office.
  • Every staff will wear gloves.
  • Every staff needs to sanitize or wash hands after every interaction.
  • Use of virtual pre ops and nursing visits and questions.

Operating Room Experience

  • Similar precautions and questionnaires will be provided to establish Covid-19 Clear Status.
  • All staff will always wear masks. All staff will always wear gloves.
  • Hand washing with any patient interaction.
  • Specific wipe down of our OR, recovery and pre op areas.
  • Minimize accompanying care takers to only one. Those care takers will be treated just like the patients.

Anesthesia Experience

  • Every anesthesia staff will wear goggles protective equipment during intubation.
  • Our anesthesiologists have been fully trained and are implementing all precautions for prevention of Covid-19 spread.
  • All circuits will be changed between each patient.
  • Full wipe down of surfaces and floors.
  • A time out protocol that would confirm the Covid-19 Clear status of every patient.

As you can see, we are taking this very seriously. We fully understand that this will cause some inconvenience in the short term but realize that it is for the best.

Although Covid-19 is a serious issue, we strongly believe that it will pass and hopefully make our infrastructure and our ability to deal with pandemics in this Country even better than it currently is. We are monitoring this situation on a real-time basis and will not sit back until we know that we have done everything possible to avoid unnecessary exposure.

We know well that when you see us in action, you will realize that you have put your trust in the right practice.
