Your quest for beauty and function has begun.

As you begin inquiring into procedures that are personally of interest to you, you embark on a serious venture that requires thought and an uncompromising attention to detail. No one holds that more serious than do we. We believe and respect that you have many choices. Here at Sepehr Egrari MD FACS Plastic Surgery Center, we do everything in our power to obtain your trust and to show you what excellence is all about. Welcome, your journey has begun...

Inquiry

  • Phone call/electronic communication (email)

Most individuals in our practice are referred by others, and the first approach is via telephone and email. Our patient care coordinators will do everything in their power to inform you about your selected procedures. They will obtain identifying data from you and will send information by mail or follow up in electronic format. If you do not schedule your consultation, they will contact you to see if all your questions have been answered.

In our practice "no" means no. If you tell us not to follow up, we will never call you again.

Consultation

  • First Visit

Here you will find out that you are in a special place. You will be met with warmth and serious regard. You will meet our coordinators and will fill out some initial, brief paperwork. You will then meet Dr. Egrari.

Dr. Egrari believes in detailed personal consultations. His trademarks are his ability to listen to your desires and to then recommend the appropriate procedures. He will also discuss the benefits and limitations of each. You can ask all your questions and you will also be able to observe a state-of-the-art audio-visual presentation of digital images of patients who have had similar procedures.

  • Examination

Our nursing staff will prepare you for your examination. At this phase, a detailed and focused physical examination is done. An outright recommendation is given and all your questions are answered. Patients are always examined in the presence of our nursing staff.

  • Financial obligation and scheduling

Our patient care coordinators will further discuss with you your financial questions. They will go over scheduling and will give you a very detailed explanation of your financial obligations. You will receive a copy of an estimate of our fees.

Our patient care coordinators are not trained to be "salespersons." We understand your desires, we know your choices and we obtain your trust through the excellence of Dr. Egrari’s work.

  • Other Visits

You are encouraged to be scrutinizing in your quest for beauty. We encourage seeking out other professional opinions. Our patient care coordinators have a list of trusted, Board Certified surgeons whom you may wish to visit. Many of our patients come back for second or even third consultations to truly obtain all the information they need. Each time you meet with us, you will be greeted with warmth and genuine respect.

Scheduling

  • Pre-operation

Pre-operative instructions will be sent to you. Our specialized pre-operative nurses are here to teach safety and convenience for your journey. You will receive an individualized pre-operative booklet that caters to your specific procedure and medical history. The pre-op meeting spans over one hour and is one of the most important meetings of your journey. You will meet with Dr. Egrari again for a detailed discussion of the logistics of the operation. He will discuss with you his plans and will go over a detailed consent, carefully covering the risks of the operation. Here we believe that an informed patient is a secure, happy and satisfied patient.

At the pre-op meeting, you will receive all of your prescriptions for the convenience and assurance of having them filled prior to the operation. You will meet with our scheduling coordinators to receive final instructions, directions, and pre-operative supplements. At this time, you will also meet with our financial coordinator to finalize your surgical fee(s).

It is our mission to assure that when you leave our office from the pre-operative meeting, you will know that your safety concerns are our utmost priority—throughout the entire pre-operative, operative and post-operative processes.

  • Operation

This is an important and exciting day! You will be instructed to show up at a designated time. Upon your arrival, you will be led through a private entry into our pre-operative holding area, where you will meet our fully qualified nursing staff. You will also have the opportunity to meet with our board certified anesthesiologists and ask all pertinent questions.

One of the most important aspects of your operative planning is the marking. Dr. Egrari will use special pens to detail the plan of the procedure. You will then be escorted to the operating room. Here you will begin the process in the comfort of our warm, comfortable surgical bed. Professionalism and regard for your safety is always at the top of our list.

Once the operation is complete, you will be taken to one of our well-equipped recovery rooms. All post-operative nurses are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Most patients stay in the recovery room for 1-2 hours. You will be discharged home at the end of that time. Occasionally, large-scale procedures will require overnight stay—for which we suggest private nursing at a choice of facilities that are in proximity to our office.

Dr. Egrari telephones all patients the evening of their operation.

  • Post-Operation

All patients will have a quick post-operative visit the day after surgery. The next visit depends on the type of surgery; the most common scenarios are: 7-10 days / One month / Three months / One year.

We are always here to address your concerns. Feel free to contact us.
