About Our Surgical Unit

Ata O. Egrari MD Surgical Unit is a state of the art facility named after Dr. Egrari's father who ended a brilliant surgical career in Los Angeles.

Impeccable, Technologically Advanced Unit

This is an impeccable, technologically advanced unit that embodies at its core first safety and then function. Located in our facility, it is built according to the stringent specifications of Medicare and is accredited by American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF). It is also licensed by the State of Washington Department of Health.

Patients who make the journey are engulfed with the most competent nursing, and ancillary service available. All staff that is responsible for patient care has Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) credentials.

We continually maintain our skills and educate ourselves with routine meetings, activities and workshops. All equipment and infrastructure is rigorously tested on a strict schedule. A hospital grade generator brings power to the entire unit in case of a power failure. Again, Safety is at the core of every thing that we do. Every thing else comes secondary. Our anesthesia is delivered by a group of board certified anesthesiologists that comply with the strict policy of safety and continual medical education.

Private Elevator

Privacy and confidentiality is also very highly regarded here. Our patients are led to the unit through a private elevator away from the flow of the office. From here, they are truly engulfed in a caring and comfortable environment.

Private Waiting Room

Family members have multiple private areas that can accommodate their wait for their loved ones. During their wait, our staff assures their comfort and convenience. Wi-Fi is available for connection throughout the office. There are private changing corridors for personal belongings.

Pre-Op Area

Once registered and seen by anesthesia, Dr. Egrari visits with the patient and performs the very important markings on the proposed areas. From here, the patients are led to the operating room. They will lie on a state-of-the-art bed that has been warmed by a warm flow device. Relaxing music is playing in the background. A comfortable and safe journey awaits them. Highest level monitoring systems support and maintain every vital function of the body.

Recovery Area

At the end of the operation, they will be led to the recovery area for a smooth awakening. Certified registered nurses, on a one-to-one basis, will continuously monitor and recover the patients. Once the patient is awake and alert, is able to drink fluids and is comfortable, she/he is led to a secondary area and eventually transported out through a private elevator down to their mode of transportation.
